In his presentation, Dr. Florian Reul provides an introduction to MiCA. Starting with a short overview of the topic, he then goes on by discussing the scope of MiCA. He breaks his presentation down into the subtopics of offers, services, market abuse, monitoring and caps, and material acquisitions. Subsequently, he discusses CASP obligations, the CASP authorization process, and issuer obligations, and concludes with an outlook from a more global and broader perspective.

About the lecturer

Dr. Florian Reul heads the German Fintech practice and is part of the Linklaters German Digital Economy Group as well as of the Linklaters Innovation Group. He specializes in banking supervisory law, Fintechs, distributed ledger technology, and payment services supervisory law (advice on general payment services law as well as on licensing applications and acquisitions).
