After a recap of the digital securities market of the recent years, Martin provides several theses why digital securities have not reached mainstream adoption: Digital securities are not at the right point of sale, digital securities have a standardization problem, and Ethereum as a base layer is not scalable.

About the lecturer

Martin Kassing is the Founder and Managing Director of Upvest. He is a tech entrepreneur with a strong background and experience in finance. Before founding Upvest in 2017, he worked in private equity for 5 years. Martin stepped out of this path to found his first Fintech, acquired later by Klarna. Having over 15 years of experience in Fintech and capital markets, he is now leading and developing Upvest strategy and vision.
