The Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS) is a global regulatory body establishing banking industry standards. The BCBS has proposed a regulatory framework for managing and mitigating the risks associated with digital assets, such as cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, and other types of digital tokens, as they become more prevalent. The framework advises banks on how to treat digital asset exposures and ensure that their operations comply with regulatory requirements.
