Dr. Haqparwar is listed on Forbes’s Top 30 Business Leaders, Arabian Business’ 40 under 40, and a Member of the German Emirati Joint Council for Industry & Commerce (AHK). He is currently responsible for driving the BMW Group business across 13 markets in the Middle East, as well as leading the transformation of the company towards digitalization and the future of mobility. Starting with the company as an intern in 2005, he has gone on to excel within the organization to reach his current position of Managing Director of BMW Group Middle East. Dr. Hamid Haqparwar completed his Ph.D. from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, holds an MBA degree from Western Carolina University in the USA, and graduated in Business Administration from the University of Mannheim, Germany.
