Freelancers from some countries, that provide poor banking infrastructure but good internet infrastructure are dependent on payment services like PayPal, which forces them to deal with high fees. Crypto payments on the other hand are cheap, fast, and globally available. Oliver Schantin explains how he and his company support other companies in order to use stablecoins and their advantages.

About the lecturer

Oliver Schantin studied Industrial Engineering in Germany and France and developed IoT devices for smart city projects in Hamburg. He discovered Bitcoin in 2016 and founded his first blockchain-related Startup in 2019. Today, his Start-Up basenode.io is using blockchain technology to enable borderless payments for freelancers and SMEs in emerging markets.
