About the lecturers

Prof. Dr. Philipp Sandner has founded the Frankfurt School Blockchain Center (FSBC). In 2018 and in 2019, he was ranked as one of the “top 30” economists by the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ), a major newspaper in Germany. Further, he belonged to the “Top 40 under 40” — a ranking by the German business magazine Capital. Since 2017, he is member of the FinTech Council of the Federal Ministry of Finance in Germany. The expertise of Prof. Sandner includes blockchain technology in general, crypto assets such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, the digital programmable Euro, tokenization of assets and rights, and digital identity. Dr. Florian Forst, Head of Financial Services Central Europe of Arthur D. Little, looks back on more than 20 years in consulting with executives and decision-makers in the financial services sector. With a doctorate in law, Florian Forst started his career in 2000 at McKinsey & Company, where he advised financial institutions throughout Europe and the UK. In 2007, he joined UniCredit Group, where he was responsible for setting up the in-house consulting unit and supporting the group across Europe in challenging growth, restructuring and change projects. In 2016, Forst joined zeb consulting, where he advised international and European universal banks, German private banks, financial services infrastructure providers and private equity firms.

Agata Ferreira is an assistant professor at the Warsaw University of Technology and a guest professor at a number of other academic institutions. She studied law in four different jurisdictions, under common and civil law systems. Agata Ferreira practiced law in the U.K. financial sector for over ten years in a leading law firm and in an investment bank as well. She is a member of a panel of experts at the EU Blockchain Observatory and Forum, a member of an advisory council for Blockchain for Europe, a Research Fellow of the Digital Euro Association and has gathered great expertise in regulatory issues around DLT, Blockchain and Smart Contracts.

Benjamin Schaub did his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration at Justus-Liebig-Universität in Gießen. Later on, he worked as a project manager at the Frankfurt School Blockchain Center and is now the Chief Digital Officer (CDO) at INTAS.tech. Apart from that, he is the Head of Digital Hub at Plutoneo. He is keen on Blockchain regulatory and governance, such as the development of Blockchain-Use-Cases.
