But new technologies also bring new risks for founders as well as for investors. How do experts estimate the blockchain-based start-up world? What have been their most successful investments and which companies have they been wrong about?

About the lecturers

Wolfgang Männel is the Head of Venture Capital at Blockchain Founders Group. His job is to figure out where the world will be in 5 to 10 years and advise on the right teams and ideas to back today. In over 30 years of his international career, he has combined experience as a venture capital and private equity investor, consultant, and entrepreneur. He considers it his greatest privilege to talk to brilliant founders every day.

Olaf Hannemann is a Co-Founder of CV VC AG, an early-stage VC investor in startups that build applications based on blockchain technology. Based out of Zug, Switzerland, the heart of the "CryptoValley", CV VC also operates its own ecosystem business CV Labs, with blockchain dedicated co-working spaces, summits & events, startup competitions, advisory and running the incubation program for early-stage investments for CV VC. Before co-founding CV VC, Olaf spent 20 years at JPMorgan in Investment Banking & Corporate Finance in Frankfurt, London, and Zürich.

Patrick Van de Mosselaer discovered crypto in 2016 and was immediately intrigued with the potential of the technology, and how it could be shaping the future of money, finance, media, data etc. Patrick is a serial entrepreneur and investor. After successfully starting, scaling, and exiting multiple ventures in Western Europe, Patrick co-founded Tioga Capital. Earlier in his career, Patrick worked as a strategy consultant at Roland Berger.
