The metaverse could present a digital environment that relies on blockchain, carrying the characteristics of social media to create spaces for user interactions through augmented reality and virtual reality. The key issues of centralization, limited accessibility, and a lack of community, could be solved by using DAOs, decentralized autonomous organizations. Their infrastructure relies on a blockchain and is outside the purview and control of a single central authority.
